1st International Conference on Reimagining Education through Digital Pedagogies for Sustainability on 5th – 6th June, 2026

Concept Note

In the contemporary landscape of global higher education, digital transformation has become a structural driver of innovation, social equity, and economic advancement. Across disciplines, the integration of digital technologies has reconfigured teaching methodologies, reshaped student engagement, and democratized access to knowledge. Technology mediated education not only supports flexible and personalized learning but also reinforces the global mandate for inclusive, high-quality education outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, SDG 4 (Quality Education) anchors the need for accessible and equitable learning environments, while several interconnected goals including SDG 5 (Gender Equality), SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure), SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption & Production), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) underscore the role of education in shaping sustainable knowledge societies.

However, the rapid expansion of digital ecosystems also presents urgent policy and pedagogical concerns. Questions surrounding data protection, algorithmic fairness, mental health impacts of virtual engagement, digital language divides, cultural erosion, and the unequal distribution of technology must be addressed proactively. Academic disciplines contribute uniquely to these deliberations: computing fields offer tools for intelligent digital learning; management and business studies cultivate responsible leadership and green entrepreneurship; commerce and economics develop financially sustainable, digitally empowered markets; while English studies and the humanities ensure that technological progress remains anchored in ethical reasoning, critical literacy, and cultural humanism.

This International Conference, aspires to establish a dynamic platform for dialogue, scholarly inquiry, applied research, and policy influence. It invites educators, industry practitioners, researchers, students, and global organizations to share insights on transforming digital pedagogy into a sustainable, equitable, and future-ready educational paradigm (emphasis added). The event shall spotlight cross-disciplinary best practices, technology-embedded curriculum design, universal accessibility frameworks, governance innovations, and digital skills that empower learners to thrive in a competitive global knowledge economy.
